Halloween is a great opportunity for driving around and checking out the "vibe" of certain neighborhoods in areas that spark interest in you. Specially if you have small children or plan on having children soon, you can conduct your own research to see what communities are more outgoing and "kid friendly" in ways that you hope to find. Plus this gives you the perfect chance to talk one-on-one with neighbors and get a feel of what to expect if you plan on moving to that area in a near future. If you do decide to drive around and explore other neighborhoods on Halloween night, just be caution of children running around dodging cars while they are distracted looking for candy.
